An Update

We went to the doctor today and had Josh’s urine tested. Praise God everything is good. We will start tapering down Josh’s steroid tomorrow.

So his medication will be:

1. 20mg of Prednisone every other day.

2. Ossovit syrup twice a day.

3. Interlac

I asked the doctor to prescribe him probiotic because poor baby had been having a hard time to pass stool. I hope Interlac wud help him soften his stool.

We shall continue with his current diet. No salt, no fried food. Only steamed, boiled or grilled. Thank God the steroid helped him to gobble his bland food. I hope by the time we completely wean off his steorid, he gets used to his current diet already.

Meanwhile, I am overwhelmed by our friends (and even a number of people we have never come in contact), giving us encouragement and prayers. We need your prayers more than ever.. Thank you so much for spending time praying for our little Josh. God bless you all.

Almost 1 until 2 years i got a lot medicine until i have a scar because those medicine, but not getting cure. And i change the doctor to Singapore and give me steroids. I ate the medicine almost 3 years and free the take medicine but still must take the diet for 5 years, if the syndrome not coming back so it’s mean you cure. Thanks God since my age 25, the doctor said I’m cure. So, my opinion is this sickness not the end of the life. You just take care the good food, eat medicine and support him. So fight!!

    Hi Rin,
Thanks for writing this blog and sharing. your journey. Steroids are taken by many people, not only nephrotic syndrome, but for various reason. Trust that your sharing will help some people as they have to deal with many adverse reactions of this medication. I hope baby Josh will continue to respond well to the medication and will be fully healed soon. May God grants you and your husband strength in all these, provides all your needs, also gives you wisdom in taking care of Josh, and even help this young soul to know and trust his Maker. May your faith be strengthened thru the process, and your relationship with God grow deeper than ever before. God knows what He is doing, and His design is always the best. Praying with you!
